Joshua Stark, ESOL Teacher

Greetings!! I'm Joshua Stark. I started out teaching ESOL to children and parents in an elementary school in Jersey city as an Americorps member. I haven't looked back since. I am also a musician and am exploring the rhythms of Latin America. I was born in Medellin, Columbia, but I came to the NYC Metro area soon after my birth. I am a naturalized American citizen.

I have been instructing the women in our Even Start Family Literacy Program for almost two years now. They are very dedicated mothers whose devotion to our program is devotion to their childrens' education as well as their own. We have a great community that is a byproduct of the class.
